Well, well, well. Did Cambio get caught by suprise when the state inspectors showed up? Do you suppose that they actually thought their fine work would go un-noticed? Hey, speaking of work, what have they actually done since February 6th? That fabulous productivity report is garbage and unusable. You can't compare apples to hot dogs and get away with it. Perhaps they could generate some revenue if at the next rally they give us cups and signs to beg for donations. Hey, better yet they could charge us admission to rallies or board meetings. If we didn't do our jobs for 6 months (with pay) we would either be fired or offered a job in administration. The clock is ticking Cambio. How about earning some of those millions your sucking from our poor patients. Remember, we know where to post our part of your resume!!!!!!!!!

With the week notice of the work action, all of a sudden we were all consider valuable employee's and could possibly cause imminent harm to the institution. The efforts to get a Temp. Restrainting Order failed.
Lets evaluated the harm and by who, the executive team refused the union efforts to allow nurses to evaluate patient care every two hours during the action, told us this is our hospital and you are not allowed in, and lastly we will call you if we need you. The last time I looked their currently isn't anyone on the executive team with E.R., TCU, L&D, PACU,PES or ICU experience but I could be wrong.
As you all know we were all needed, numerous errors were made with patient care, medications, documentations, admission entry and others too numerous to mention. We at ACMC work as a team, and as a team we need each other to function in our areas of speciality. To say, patient care and quality will be maintained with the proposed lay off's, the Board of Trustee must have blinder on. We all know there has to be re-structure in ACMC but lets start with the fat first, lets get the computers talking to one another to generate revenue, boy that's a positive vision. Lets charge for supplies and improve the entire billing system. We the care givers with direct hands on are doing our job, it seems we are the only ones.
Yes, there were about 200 scrab nurses at ACMC but what happen to dietary, pharmacy, medical records, lab, operator and other services that are small but essential that were not replaced. I challenge any and all the Board of Trustee's, executive team to walk in any of our shoes for one shift to see the everyday things we all have to do. Our efforts for maintaining quality and safe patient care is still the focus. All of you who think this does not effect you, think again it does in one way or the other.
I personally was proud of my fellow sisters and brothers who rally on August 30, 2004 in support of maintaining quality patient care and no lay off's.
Let's keep the mission statement alive with no lay off's but challenge the BOT's and the executive to be creative with vision for the future, the un-insured patients are not going away, and with on-going and continuous out sourceing of jobs, these numbers will be increasing.
It does not take a counsultant contract of about 5 million dollars to say, let's lay off employee's and not have a viable implementation plan to institute. The same needs, concerns, treatments, documentation, and other things still need to be accomplish.
Lets keep our eyes on the prize fellow sisters and brothers, with the vision of no lay off's for ACMC.
Let the BOT's and executive team get a vision and viable plan.
By way, how many of the nurse scrabs had valid California License? I was informed there were some who did not.
